We would like to inform you that the next stage of food assistance for those in need is starting: the European Fund for Food Assistance Program 2021-2027, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus, planned for the period from February to September 2025.
OPL Foundation UNITERS (United Volunteers), in cooperation with the SOS Food Bank in Warsaw, is supporting those in need in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Warsaw district in the city of Warsaw.
The goal of the program is to provide food assistance to the most vulnerable individuals and to provide accompanying support measures to assist their social inclusion.
RECIPIENTS OF FOOD ASSISTANCE AND ACCOMPANYING ACTIONS:
Food assistance is available to individuals and families in difficult life situations who meet the following criteria:
- Criteria specified in Article 7 of the Act of March 12, 2004, on Social Assistance
(Journal of Laws 2024, items 1283 and 1572). - Income criterion: 2.676.50 PLN for individuals and 2.180.95 PLN for individuals in the household.
Assistance may be provided to the most needy individuals who have received a referral from the Social Welfare Center.
FOOD ASSISTANCE
Under the program, each person referred for food assistance can receive FREE food items, approximately 30 kg, in the form of several food packages:
For example, if a family consists of 5 members, each of these individuals will receive the same set of food products. Additionally, they may receive food donations with a short shelf life.
ACCOMPANYING ACTIONS
Additionally, OPL Foundation UNITERS (United Volunteers), along with the Food Bank, will implement the following planned actions to support the social inclusion of those in need:
Thematic educational cycles: economic education, nutritional-dietary, culinary, consumer rights.
Educational workshops on topics such as: food waste prevention, proper waste segregation, culinary skills, psychodietetics, household budget management.
Inclusion-integrational activities (cycles).
Consultation hours.
